Aimee Arcuni-Peters ‘04

Anna M.C. De Voogt ‘81

Anna is part of a collective of Trancultural therapists (CTT) that has developed two training programs for Transcultural Family therapists in Amsterdam (Holland). Please visit their website, www.CTT.NU.

Ellen Fader, LCSW, ‘05

Ellen has been in fulltime private practice since 2008 when she left the position as Director of Safe Horizon's 9/11 Mental Health Programs as funding for the programs ceased. Ellen is a family therapist with Ackerman’s Center for Families and Health project and is a clinical affiliate with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in their Family Focused Grief Treatment research project. Until September 2009, she was on staff at Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy’s (ICP) Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia. Ellen is a certified EMDR clinician and certified consultant. She is a founding member of EMDRIA’s NYC Trauma Recovery Network (TRN), a member of Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) Mental Health group and EAPA Women’s Issues Committee.

Neil Grossman, PhD ‘81

Dr. Grossman is a member of the ABA/APA working group on representing children in divorce proceedings. He continues as chair of the Psychology and Law Committee of SPCA, where he coordinates consultations to attorneys and judges from the Suffolk County Supreme and Family Courts. Dr. Grossman was a judge for the finals of the ABA Regional Client-Counseling Competition, held at Touro Law Center on February 2009.

Dr. Grossman (with S. Honor and G. Tabot) presented a workshop on “The Treating Psychologist Testifying in Court” at a conference sponsored by the Suffolk County Bar Association, Suffolk County Psychological Association and Touro Law School in March 2009.

Steven Spirn ‘78

Steven looks forward to resigning from full-time employment in January 2010, to devote time to private practice. He loves to work with children, especially within family sessions. He also works with children, teenagers, adults and couples to teach them how to do self-hypnosis. He finds it fascinating to connect family and marital dynamics to self-hypnosis.
