Miguel Hernandez, LCSW, is a faculty member of the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
He is also on the faculty of the Health and Hospital Corporation's Institute for
Family and Community Care.
Mr. Hernandez received his MSW from Hunter College in 1991. His publications co-authored
with Jaime Inclan include a monograph on a curriculum outline for understanding Hispanic families,
"Cross-Cultural Perspective and Codependence: The Case of Poor Hispanics," (American Journal of
Orthopsychiatry, April 1992), and "A Conceptual Framework for Therapy with
Ethnic-Minority Families," (AFTA Resource Packet: Honoring and Working with Diversity
in Family Therapy Special Publication, May 1993.)
He has also presented over 50 papers, talks and video-tape workshops at professional conferences,
academic institutions and mental health care centers throughout the U.S.
and the Caribbean.
