What is a webinar and how does it work?

A webinar is an interactive online learning experience conducted via the internet (to view presenter, Power Point presentations and video edits) and teleconferencing (to hear presenter's audio). It is live and takes place in real time.

A week before the webinar, you will receive an email confirming the date and time, and outlining the information you will need to log onto the webinar. It will also contain details about testing your computer ahead of time to make sure that you have the proper media player installed. You can also test now by going here.

About 10 minutes prior to start time, log onto the website and call into the teleconference number using the details provided in the email and available as a pop up box when you log into the website. Although you will be viewing the presentation online, you will listen to the presenter on your phone for the best audio quality.

During the webinar, you will have an opportunity to contribute and participate in Q&A via chat and phone.

All Webinars take place in Eastern Time.

Registration for webinars ends two hours before the scheduled start time.
