Mary Brewster, PhD is a past Ackerman faculty member, and Director of Ackerman’s Serious Mental Illness and the Family Project.
She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City University in New York in 1999. She also has an MBA from Columbia University. She is a supervisor of family therapy in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at the City University of New York, and at the Child Studies Center at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Brewster has presented nationally on the topic of the impact of work on women’s development, identity, and family relationships. She has a private practice in Manhattan.
