Gloria Lopez-Henriquez

Gloria Lopez-Henriquez, DSW, LCSW is a bicultural and bilingual psychotherapist with extensive experience working with families and couples with diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. She also has over a decade of experience supervising social workers in New York City and New Jersey schools. She was a consultant and co-researcher at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Diabetes and endocrinology department at the Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Currently, she is an adjunct faculty at the School of Social work, Rutgers University, a consultant at the Princeton Board of Education diversity committee, and a designer and manager of a program for unaccompanied minors in Princeton HS. She maintains a private practice in Morristown and Princeton, New Jersey. For the last several years, she has been involved in writing extreme hardship and asylum immigration evaluations. She is a board member of the Latino Action Network Foundation, a grassroots organization committed to the engagement in collective action at the local, state and national for the advancement of the Latino communities in the United States.

She is also the creator of the multimedia project “Young Latinas’ Suicidal Ideations and behaviors: Rethinking ‘Culture’ to Include the Digital,” a tool for practitioners.
